1. Enrolments and Conduct 

1.1. Students must provide accurate, complete information when enrolling. 

1.2. We reserve the right to deny or delay enrolment if inaccurate or incomplete information  is supplied. 

1.3. Learning resources (e.g., booklets, past papers) are only issued once a student has begun  their program. 

1.4. Enrolment is not confirmed until the trial lesson is completed and the student opts to  continue. 

1.5. Students must behave respectfully. Disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe behaviour may  lead to suspension or termination of enrolment without refund. 

1.6. If a class is full, you may be placed on a waitlist and notified when space becomes  available. 

1.7. All students and parents/guardians jointly indemnify Pinpoint Educators against any  claims arising from breaches of confidentiality, misconduct, or the unauthorised use of  copyrighted material. 

1.8. By continuing to use our services, you acknowledge and consent to your child  participating in tutoring sessions provided by Pinpoint Educators. You grant permission for  us to engage directly with your child solely for the purpose of delivering educational services.

Furthermore, you consent to the use of photographs, videos, or other media featuring your  child, captured during tutoring sessions, for promotional and marketing purposes, including  but not limited to social media, websites, and print materials

2. Payment and Fees 

2.1. A one-week free trial is available for eligible students. If the student decides to continue,  payment for the full term is required. This only applies for courses advertised with a free trial Students can only have one free trial per subject (Biology & UCAT).

Sometimes we may offer a 2-week trial depending on the course (e.g. exam program where there is an exam + review lesson)

2.2. Payment timing may vary and will be determined at our discretion. If payment is  requested before the term begins, any additional lesson time or extra classes added will be  charged proportionally at the term’s calculated rate. 

2.3. No GST is applicable. 

2.4. We reserve the right to update our fee structure and discounts at any time. 

2.5. Non-payment may result in suspension or cancellation of enrolment. 

2.6. Payment is typically accepted via bank transfer. Contact us for other options.

2.7. No refunds or credits are provided for missed lessons, unless otherwise agreed. 

2.8. Students are automatically re-enrolled into the next term/program for the same subject unless written notice of withdrawal is provided before the new term commences.

If notice is provided after lessons have begun, full fees for the term will be payable, except in exceptional circumstances where a pro-rata rate may be applied at our discretion.

3. Attendance and Make-Up Policy 

3.1. Students are expected to attend all scheduled lessons. 

3.2. If a student is unable to attend a lesson, they must notify us via email or message before the scheduled class in order to access a makeup option/recording (where available.

3.3. Makeups may include a substitute class (within the same week) or access to a lesson  recording.

Please note: makeups are not guaranteed, as class times may vary, and an alternative session may not always be offered.

3.4. No refunds are issued for absences. 

3.5. If a teacher is unavailable, the class may be postponed, rescheduled, or delivered by a  substitute teacher. Lesson recordings will also be provided. 

3.6. Lost or damaged resources may be replaced at an additional charge. 

4. Free Trial Policy 

4.1. A one-week free trial is available to new students for eligible classes. 

4.2. You only begin paying for lessons once you confirm your decision to continue beyond  the free trial. 

4.3. In certain cases, students may not be eligible for a trial lesson (e.g., mock exam review sessions). In these instances, students may trial a regular lesson instead.

5. Privacy and Recordings 

5.1. Student data is kept confidential and used solely to deliver and improve our services. 

5.2. We may request student results, ATARs, or photos for marketing. You may opt out by  notifying us in writing. 

5.3. Some classes may be recorded for internal training, quality control, or to provide makeup  access. 

5.4. If you do not wish to be recorded, please notify us via email or SMS. We will make best  efforts to accommodate. 

5.5. We will not share personal information unless required or permitted by law. 

6. Intellectual Property 

6.1. All materials provided (including but not limited to notes, booklets, guides, mock exams, normal exams, lesson resources, and branding) remain the sole intellectual property of Pinpoint Educators.

6.2. Students may not copy, distribute, reproduce, or reuse any materials for personal, commercial, or competitive purposes without express written consent.

6.3. Students and parents acknowledge that unauthorised use, reproduction, or distribution of our copyrighted materials constitutes a breach of intellectual property law. Legal action, financial penalties, and fines may be applicable in such cases.

6.4. By enrolling, students and parents agree to indemnify Pinpoint Educators against any claims, damages, losses, or legal costs arising from the unauthorised use of our materials.

7. Academic Disclaimer 

7.1. While we strive to support high academic outcomes, we do not guarantee specific results  (e.g. HSC marks, ranks, or ATARs). 

7.2. Academic performance depends on individual effort, attendance, and external factors. 

8. Refunds and Cancellations 

8.1. Refunds are not issued for missed classes or dissatisfaction once paid enrolment has  commenced. 

8.2. If a student withdraws in the middle of the term after confirming enrolment, no refund  will be issued unless under exceptional circumstances at our discretion. 

8.3. Refunds will not apply to used resources or exam weeks.

9. Governing Law 

9.1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. 9.2. Any disputes will first be attempted to be resolved via mediation.
